Thread: Just wondering which is better?? (catfish that is)

Ok I admit I didn't have much to do yesterday. I went to santee caught a couple good cat's lost 6 (note to self don't forget your net), them things can be a booger to lip.

So as I'm sitting there getting mad because of my forgetfullness I got to wondering which catfish taste the best; that we can catch here in SC.

I like the blues, but the flatheads are good too. the least for my taste is the channel. But then again you just can't beat a yellow cat out of the edisto river.

channel cats are my least favorite, then blues then flatheads. i dont get to try flat heads very often but the ones ive tried have been good. we eat a good many blue filltes this past summer from the ones we caught at wateree in the spring. they was some good eating to. my favorite size tho is the small cats, any kind, about 6-10 inches, skint and deep fried.

I dont eat any cats usually but if I did they would be 6 inch long bullheads from the Broad river.

Flatheads by far, then blues
