They are one of his sponsors. He has to say that at least once per show.

A man with that kind of influence in the fishing world could have whatever sponsor he chose.Usually fishing sponsorships come when a man wins lots of events or catches a prize fish on so and so's lure or rod.I bet the chicken came before the egg.

I went into a local pawnshop yesterday looking at their rods & reels. Most of what they had was overpriced junk but they had 3 matching 6' heavy action ugly sticks with Ambassedeur 5000 reels, $60 each. Was this a good deal? Sometimes you can talk him down a little, especially with summer over & if you bought all three. I got a Berkley Lightning Rod & Shimano Spirex reel for $20 last winter. Rod still had the green sticker from BPS on the handle, reel was in good shape too. Hate to take advantage of someone's misfortunes, a man must have really been down on his luck to pawn his ugly sticks.

if they was used rods and reels, its not a good deal, not if they was 5000 reels. a new 5000 usually runs in the mid to late 30's new, depending on where you get em and new uglies, with the foam handles run a little less than 30 bucks. sounds to me like hes priced em based on new prices. if they new, you may be saving a couple dollars each, but not much, but if they are used, hes got em overpriced. hawk, you aint taking advantage of someones misfortune. if anybodys doing that its the pawn shop, but thats his job.

Thanks rango, I don't need them anyway, don't do much catfishing or striper fishing. I have noticed he is pretty high on things, thought the deal I got on the Lightnin Rod & Shimano reel wasn't too bad.

    Default Abu's

I am interested in the abu 5000-7000. More so the 6000-6500. They will ruin a good ugly stick. You need to get rid of all of them. I will use them for parts in my repair shop. PM me if you got some you want to get rid of. It will make a marker improvement on those ugly sticks.
