Rode over to Lake Russell today this afternoon @ 6PM just to mainly check things out. Havent been on the water for a couple months. Wound up having to buy a cranking battery before I went. Water temp was 74.7 degrees. Bad part was the wind was blowing and I forgot to set up where the wind woundnt hit me. Also, was super cloudy but right at dark the wind blew the clouds out of the way and that full moon made it daylite again. Anyway, fished for a couple hours and only had two light bites that missed and caught one. Went ahead and quit at 8PM and came home to watch Ga./Tenn. game. Gonna scout some next week looking for shad/fish and start hitting 'em hard when this moon straightens out. It was nice just getting back out there again!
our bite on wylie died to when the moon filled. one night it was dark and the bite was great. the next night the moon had the world lit up and the bite had died. it must be catching.
