Thread: wylie nightstalk 10/4/06

it was me, travis, ot, michael and davey on the beast last night up in catawba creek if anybody was up that way and happend to pass us with all them ugly sticks sticking out the side of the beast. that must have been a pretty sight to see that magnificent fishing machine with that crew and with a ugly in every rod rack on the boat. it was dark time we got set up and got the baits in the water. then everyone set back expecting the world to start shaking from the bite. what a dissapointment. it was there but slower than winter molasses. probably due to the big bright moon shinning overhead. something slowed em down and thats all we could figger what the problem was. we caught some nice fish. dint weigh any of them. i took a few photos in the boat of the guys holding a slab or two up for the camera. ill post em when i get em processed. we fished till midnight and called it. at show and tell, we had 33 crappie and 20 some perch and a few thugs. not a good night at all for 5 people fishing four hours. i dint think to check the water temp.

You fishing every night aint you??I'm jealous.I saw the moon shining through my window last night and I could hardly sleep on its account.

the crew is merciless on the old man. trying to drag me out every night. i resist as much as possible but they are soooo persistant... . i asked ot the other night if he was tough enought to fish every night for a week and work the next day. he said he could do it. soons the bite turns on im gonna run a little experiment on his endurance ability by taking him every night of the week from one sunday to the next and see how he can hold up. I can be a hard captain at times....

No way I could make it personally.I can make it two or three nights a week and be okay.I need those days in between to recupe.
