Man! I'd love a few details on those stripers. I've been a few times and have only managed one or two each trip. I just aint got 'em figgered out yet. I'd be glad to post your pics if you'd like. Just send 'em to bjefferson10@comcast.net and I'll get 'em up there tonight. Congrats on a good fishing trip.

    Default Stripers

Stripers have been a little more difficult since the weather turned so hot!!! But previously we were catching them over standing timber in 50-60 ft of water - fishing 25 ft deep. It is hard to keep the herring alive cause the water is so hot! Water temp 91 at 9 am today!

Thanks for sharing the pic and the trip.Ive allways heard that the walleye are some very good eating. When you try him let us know if hes any better than the hybrids/stripers,most of the folks that have told me how good they are havent had striper .Ive mostly heard the guys up north saying it.

Ive heard of Walleye in Russell, I sure would love to catch one just to say I did. Anyone know if there's a good population on Russell? And if so, is there anyone that targets walleye?

Bearclaw, I have had both striper and walleye. I think walleye are one of the top tasting fish that I have caught. But then again everyone one has their own taste buds and opions.
Keep taking those kids fishing and posting your results. I enjoy reading them.

the tugaloo arm is the best place catch a walleye because of lake tugaloo at the head has them in it they stocked them in it at one time the water has to cold like the for a trout they must get over the dam some way if russell has them in it iv never heard of them being stocked but it could be dun dnr puts the trout in behind hartwell dam maybe a call to dnr and see if they have put some in
