Good to hear of the young ones having a good day on the lakes. Congrats.![]()
Went to RBR this AM at 7:15 with my two nephews who live in Colombus. They are 11 and 16. Spending the week with their MeMa. The 11 year-old, Nathaniel, LOVES!! to fish and doesn't get to much living in city, both parents work, etc. We LL trolled in 2.5 to 6 FOW (THANKS GA BOWMAN!) way back up the creek. 2cnd fish of the day was a HAWG slab. After boating her, Nathaniel said, "I'll remember today for the rest of my life". That made his uncle's day. We caugt 26 crappie (none as big as that one), 2 nice channel-cats, and 3 or 4 largemouth bass. Best bait was a blue/chartruese crappie snack (slider). They wanted them fast. Caught several pretty nice "chunk", black males. Maybe 1/2 to 3/4 lbs. Some dinks too. Overall a great morning.

Barry, glad to see you got the boys on some fish. "Nathaniel said, "I'll remember today for the rest of my life"." When a child tells you this about a plain 'ole fishing trip you know you did something good. I'm just glad I could help you out. Congrats on the fishing trip. I know you guys had fun.![]()
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
