    Default Bad Day... Good Day

Hit Wateree bout 5:45 a.m. Threw the net till 7:30.. Maybe 2 dozen bait. Already ill and pi$$ed started to the spot. Starter on boat was not in the mood to go.. After a little persusion and some choice words she fired. Got out and anchored up. Nothing for bout the first hour. Why not move? Starter said no again. So we stayed put. Ended day bout 12:00ish. 9 small cats one decent white perch.Nice day out allaround. Spoke to Roughedge on the vhf and saw Crappiesnapper troll by. The people we talked to said it was slow everywhere for every thing. Good news though.... Neighbor fixed the starter for me.. No charge.. That made it a good day.
I f ya keep a kid on the water. Then they cant get in trouble on land ! ! Take a kid Fishin !

Glad you caught a few. At least it was'nt all bad and a great day to be on the water. Hope they bite a little better tomorrow.

There's about NOTHING that'll spoil a good mood more than boat problems when on the water. Glad it's raring to go now though. Wont be long before 'ole ofishl will be ripping some lips on them linesides. Just gotta get 'em dailed in. Glad you still caught some fish though. Makes it a little bit better day I know.

thanks for the report even though it didn't go as you planned...i think ill wait till the spawn is over and they stack up in june creek in about a month. i also noticed that there has hardly been any threadfin around, just a few gizzards under the bridges. we must have had a good shad die off mid to late february sometime, cause there was a ton of bait till then.

Me and my wife made it to the landing at watteree creek boats backed out ti the road. Turned around and went to the old landing got in the water around 6:45. Headed up river fished til 11:00 one throw back striper. DNR was shocking today wish I could use that boat for 15 min. I could fill the freezer. ME and BIG CHAD are going in the morning maybe he can show an old man how to catch them BIG CATS.

It was good talking to you today, I would have stoped and talked more but I was in a hurry to go up river and NOT catch any stripers. Sorry to hear about your starter but I glad it was a easy fix. Talked to a friend of a friend and he caught a 12 and 14 up past where I quit later in the afternoon. I may try next weekend and go alittle later and fish to dark.
