    Default Murray Report 04/01/2010

Started out the morning throwing jigs at the docks. Caught one on an acid rain jig. The water was stained but not too bad. Bought some minnows and decided to drag them behind the boat on a cork about four foot deep. Caught one when my partner realized my cork was gone. Saw a fellow catching some trolling, so I decided to troll (brought the trolling rods just in case). Started trolling and decided to up the speed because I felt like the fish were shallow. Water temp started out at 58 but warmed up to 64 to 65. We caught three fish trolling. One caught on a pink with white tail, one was on a 1/16th ounce minnow head with medium minnow and the last was on the acid rain jig. All three fish caught trolling weighed at least a pound. Also caught three small white perch. Wind was non-existent and a few blue delicious were consumed. Didn't catch a lot of fish but it was a great day to be on the lake.

Glad you caught some. Today was an excellent day to be fishing, especially this morning. Just cool enough for a sleeve and warmed quickly. Where I was at there was a good many boats but less than I expected. Hopefully tomorrow will be the same. Again, congrats on your trip.
