Default A Few Fish off a Jig

Me and my roommate went and fished Lake Isaqueena a little this afternoon. Fished from the bank and saw a lot of fish. Little Bass and bream mostly and a few Jack Fish. Did see a few nice bass up shallow, but they wouldn't hit a mini jig. We did manage to catch 3 little bass, and 2 jack fish. Here's a few of em... Not Crappie, but they were fun to catch anyway.

I bet it was fun. I have never fished that lake. What are the boat restrictions for that lake?

As long as it yanks the line it's still fun.

Trolling motor only from what I've heard. With that being said, I didn't see a single sign today saying you couldn't run a big motor. I've heard of some nice crappie being caught, but we fished on all kinds of downed trees and other brush up shallow and didn't catch one. Must still be deep.

We seen one close to 2 lbs that wasn't interested in our mini jig offering!

I don't know exactly what lakes have them... I know Lake Murray has some and now I know Lake Isaqueena has em! They are long and skinny, but if memory serves me correctly they eat good if you catch one big enough.

Me and my dad have fished on or around my birthday for probably the last 15 years of 21 years of existence. Back in the day daddy was big in to bass fishing and Lake Murray was full of hydrilla. We would sit out there and fish texas rigs in hydrilla for hours on end and daddy would catch fish but me and my zebco 33 CLASSIC didn't do much in the back on the boat. I distinctly remember one outing in which I caught a fish....that fish was a jack fish.

Me and daddy laugh about how I would sit in the back of the boat fishing my heart out trying to catch a fish....I didn't have a clue how to really fish a texas rig then but I was sure trying.

I blame him for my persistence in fishing....I can sit on a lake for hours and not catch a fish, but I ain't giving up. He literally has to drag me off the lake these days when the fishing is slow. I definitively ain't no quitter when it comes to fishing! Can't ever tell when a fish might bite or if the next fish might be the fish of a lifetime....

I don't know how it got the nickname jack fish.......

it's actually a cousin of the Northern Pike/Muskie. I guess its actually a chain pickerel.

From a little research...it seems that Clark's Hill might have few too
