Fished Wateree on Saturday from 6:30 to around 3:00. Bait was very easy in Beaver Creek. Had 6-8 doz nice gizzards in about 10 minutes. On my spot before daylight with high hopes and marking lots of fish. Nothing, nada. Fished up and down the lake and never had a rod tip touch the water. I found lots of fish, but none seemed to be very active. I thought the day would be perfect, with clouds, cold, and very little wind. My son even fished for white perch and couldn't get a bite. That is very unusual down there. I spoke with a few guys that were crappie fishing and they all said the same thing. Very Slow.
I wonder if the full moon could be the reason. I also don't know what the barametric pressure was on Sat, but something was up. What do you guys think?
I don't keep records. I fish when I can, no matter what the weather, but plan to start keeping a log and start trying to put this puzzle together.

I think its the large ammounts of bait. All the fish I caught last week had a ton of shad in them. I found the fish but only got 6. And where I was was so thick with striper that I snagged one in the back!! I think they are just fat fish.
Got together with "Phydiox" Sat. and went to wateree also.We marked fish all day long from Colonel,s creek to the dam,had a few hitsbut hooked only one thug about 7#'s.Very slow day,but beats sitting at the house.
what did the water color look like. I'm thinking bout try'm wednesday but kind of worried if the lake is muddy or not?
If you don't get hung every-once-n-a-while you ain't jigg'n it right..:D
The water still had alittle stain tint to it,but not that bad.
