dint get to go to wateree yesterday as i had planned. when i seen how the weather was turning out, i wanted to puke all morning. still winds, a little fog. the nice day i been looking for. much different that the hurricanes i been running into when i go down. discovered i had a dead battery night before last so put a charger on it and charged it over night. yesterday am it was still dead after a nights charging. come to find out the charger was not working, It was running but not throwing a charge so put another charger on it yesterday am and charged enough by yesterday pm to crank the truck. Id let my daughter use it to haul the trash to the dump and shed left the lights on when she got back. on top of that id lost my sitter for the day. seems like everyone wanted to do some shoppin. the wife asked me night before last if i needed anything from town before she come home and i told her to pick me up some ice, so she come in with 5 $2.50 bags.. so yesterday am, i had to move my baits back to the holding tank and outta the bait tank. some them baits been handled so much traveling back and forth to wateree they have almost become pets. I've got one saltie left out of those toadrunnner give me awhile back and it seems like he gets to make the trip everytime i go down. He gets netted in the holding tank net when i transfeer bait to the bait tank, but somehow manages to avoid the dip net when it comes time to get on a hook. anyway, not being able to do anything yesterday, i had the immense pleasure of hanging around here all day and watching $17.50 worth of ice slowly melt away. i have a small chest freezer but theres not enough room in it to store that much ice. we celebrating our christmas today with all the kids coming in for the weekend so wont be no fishing for me for the next couple days, unless i can manage a nightstalk sunday night for a few hours.
