for those of you running lowrance electronic equipment, you might wanna check out the lowrance web site. they are offering free enhanced lake maps you can down load to your unit. theres just a few lakes in each state ready, and lake wylie is one of them. so if you fishing wylie and using lowrance stuff and have the map create system, you might find a lake you wanna download. its interesting stuff. several years ago, me and jerry noticed a big boat on wylie, with a big gps antennae and lowrance painted on the side of it. that must have been what they was doing, underwater mappin the lake.

This is what i was refering to there rango on your last post about hand held GPS units. I use the one for Keowee and it is the bomb!:D i can follow the creek channel, locate humps without my depthfinder if i needed. But the pair are great. That was the best investment i have made.I have a hand held lowrance Ifinder on the bow and the LMS480 on the console, they both run the maps.
