Thread: puters down again....

my computer is on the blink again so dont know how much ill be around till i get it repaired. i did a system recovery twice last night using the recovery discs i was instructed to do when i bought the puter three years ago. well, the discs are defective and after several hours on the phone this morning with HP techies, i had to order a factory set of recovery discs. after all this time talking to these folks, trying to understand what they saying, with that accent all techies seem to have, they take the orderin info then tell me the servers is down and they cant order the discs and theyd call me back when they got the servers up.. its frustrating talking to these people cause none of em can talk good english and to me it all sounds like jibber jabber on the phone.. if i told that guy once today, i told him several dozen to repeat what he just said. frustrating as hades talking to em...... Im on the wifes puter now, but dont know how much time shell let me play on her toy

I know what you mean. The last time I had a problem with Earthlink I was on the phone for an hour experiencing the same thing. They had me reconfigureing the computer. They finally gave me another number to call. Thought that it may be someone on this side of the pond that could speak. It ended up being another local phone line into Earthlink. No Problem. All I had was a bad call in line, not a computer problem..
