'i've noticed no posts this mornin so mabey y'all are out walkin that line between dedidicated fishermen and just plum crazy.???????
For all of(if any)of you are out there leaning to the crazy side of that line, i hope that 30 pounder is in the cooler....

I'm watching the weather close. They calling for 9 mph at 11:00 tomorrow. If it gets any worse than that, I deffinately ain't going! The cold don't bother me, the rain don't bother me, but the wind BOTHERS me.Originally Posted by rango

I just talked to Butterbean and we gonna stay in the warm tomorrow. If it rains until dark like they saying and then gets down to 28 like they calling for, it may be a slick ride to Wateree down that blacksnake they call hwy 97. I'm gonna save that day til next Thursday, and me and the Bean will try it then hopefully.Originally Posted by rango

if at first you dont succeed............drink another beer
Gotta go.......FISH ON !!
I only fish on days that end in"Y"
I think the key to stripper fishing is being there when they are biting. They seem to bite better when the sky is overcast. Bluebird days are the least promising. Wind, rain, snow, cold or wind doesn't reach down in the water depths, but sunlight does. Of course I haven't caught enough one way or the other to prove my theory. I wish I had.............
I used to think the same thing about stripers liking the foul weather. I have changed my mind over the last few years. I have caught most of my stripers after several days of high pressure and most of them on Bluebird days, especially in the spring and summer. Last Dec. 22nd, it was after high pressure and we were fishing in long sleeves and no jackets, Rango and I put 32 in my boat. I'm not saying that that is the case always, but the pattern just seems to point that way for me.Originally Posted by Iamfishing
