I got one of the runners under my trailer replaced last night. I'll get the other one replaced tonight hopefully. My trailer is only five years old and both 8 ft. runners are ROTTED completely away. Guys, take a minute the next time you are going to the lake and look under your trailer!! We almost got in trouble Sunday when one of my runners broke off when we loaded back up to come home. I had NO idea that those things would rot away in five years!

glad you got it fixed thumper. those runners must have been made out of untreated lumber to rot so quick. how did you jack your boat up to work on it? Looks like friday is a go for me. I got a crew and the beast is ready to take on the thumper...... soons i get it converted from crappie mode back to striper mode. I think i need another boat. one set up for crappie, and one set up for striper. all this changing back and forth is wearin me out and seems like every time i do it, im forgettin to put something back. you know how forgetful us old men get

It was treated lumber. I guess the carpet just kept it wet all the time. I got a 3 ton floor jack and just picked the boat up. It wasn't hard to replace. Just a lot of time spent. Hopefully we'll get down on Friday morning. We looking hard at the weather.

I got everything fixed and I'm ready to go hopefully. My baby girl is ready for the highway! I talked to the Yank last nite and he didn't do too good Wed. I'll let him post his results. I still want to go Friday, weather permitting.
