I have heard rumors that they are trying to get some more law changes geared toward crappie. Does anyone know anything.
I heard of a possible state wide min. 10in. and 30 per person for crappie.
I also heard it is illegal to sink brush in lakes now.
It's already 30 crappie per person as far as brush it would be up to who runs the lake not the state. At Clarks Hill they drop off trees so if you want to place brush you will have the trees to drop.
Welcome to the board. If you hear anything on the new laws let us know.

Go to the Ga Board and may have to look in some older post of Jan 10. Some on the Ga board are trying to get limit on certain lakes. From what i have read and talked with Fish Bio's A limit wouldn't help in what those guys are trying to do. Each lake will build up big fish and then go the other way every few years.
Now that is wwhat I have heard and read and my penny's worth for what that is/
They are proposing many law changes affecting game fish. The proposals are open for public comment until March 8th. Check it out. The crappie daily limit would drop to 20 with a length minimum. Many other changes to note that affect largemouth, striper, and trout on Jocassee.
SCDNR - Lake Hartwell Restoration and Compensation Determination Plan
Ignore the title of that link, it applies to more than Hartwell.
Everyone needs to read the SCDNR Fisheries Bill Part 2if it goes in there will be an 20 limit on crappie with a 8'' size limit state wide and 10'' on Greenwood. Lot of other changes too.
