Deadliest Catch Captain Phil Harris Dies at 53

Hate to hear it. He was a tough dude for sure. I dont see Deadliest Catch on TV anymore. Not many of my crew enjoyed that show as much as I did. Those guys are certainly a special breed of men that will/can take those elements for sure. If the show ever comes on again I'll miss seeing him on it.

I just seen this, that show is going to miss him and me too. One of the best captains.

A freind of my'n thought that the hollerin' and cussin' on that show was just tv hoopla, til I took him shrimpin' over bait and let him drive. He had a new respect for capts. I have nowhere near the nautical experteise as this capt. although i got good learning in the USN, and have been through 30' seas. Which allows me to truley respect what he did.

May he have fair winds and following seas. I felt like a friend had died when I heard the news. My prayers sent to him and his family. He was a great Captain and will be missed by many.
