Thread: Norman 12/26

Since the plow attachment for the pontoon didn't arrive and my auger is broken I decided I'd run up to Norman for a try. Water temps were in the low 50's good, bought some trout, good,.
Bass tourney at the 150 bridge, not so good.Had trouble getting the toon off the trailer, had to back it in a couple times finally getting the truck tires wet before I could get her to go. Bad.
Motored out to the Hot Hole looked for bait slim pickins so I set up on a small ball o' bait and trolled around for a while. The headed accroos the lake to a cove I'd done well on a couple years ago, however my locator docks have changed so I was lost, bad.
Got a mini pull down gone in 5 seconds, bad Troller started acting weird, checked the batteries and sure enough they were low. With all the rain the GFI popped several times leaving the battery charger off, so much for trolling.
I moved to a hump and set up on the little bit of bait I could find, one pull down and gone before I could get to the rod, cat fish judging by the slim on the line.
Loaded up and hit && only to find it was aparking lot with the VT people coming down for a foot ball game, off to the back roads.
Home safe and sound so it was a good day after all.

Them "no-fish" & "few-fish" days are tough. I've had some of them lately myself. Sorry to hear about all your troubles but atleast you have the chance to get things right before everything gets better....if that's ever gonna happen. Thanks for the report.
