Well it's almost gone again. Another year in the books. Lot's of problems world wide, But that's life. On a lighter note what was your favorite memory of 2009? Be it fishin ,huntin skiing, or whatever you think of the most. I have several good times for me. Pop catchin his limit in Wateree stripes. Catchin a boat load of white perch one hot morning. Fishin the Spring Fest and The Fall Fest. Met many old friends and hope I made some new one's. But I think the best time was when I took those rookies on their first striper hunt. Had two occasions to put rookies on the fish. Thank the Lord the fish co-operated both times. Any day catchin is great , but when a rookie hooks up first time, it is special. The most outstanding though was Mike and Pamela. It was raining and cold the morning they went. But both said Let's Go. So we took off to Wateree. We ended with 11 stripes and I forget how many cat's. Due to weather and schedules they ain't got to go back yet. But they keep asking when. Greg and Mandy chomping the bit to get back also. And Pop say's Let's go boy. Can't catch em on the recliner. Anyway, Hope Santa was good to ya, AND HAPPY 2010 TO ALL. Be safe ,and take a Kid fishin..
OLD AGE AIN'T FOR SISSY'S. !!! !
Good post! As far as fishing goes, my favorite '09 experience is going to Jocassee with my father in, I believe, February. A few minutes from the ramp snow started pouring. By the time we had launched and got to our fishing spot the ground around the lake was completely covered. That was the first time I've ever fished in the snow and the trout were on fire. I caught 3 19+ inch browns and he caught a nice white bass along with alot of throwbacks. It was a very memorable trip.
As far as life goes, hearing the word "yes" from my girlfriend when I asked her to marry me in October on Sandia Peak in New Mexico. I had spent half the year stressing about that day so I was very relieved.
I hope that 2010 is a good one for all my fellow crappie.com friends!
Yea Ofishalbizzness,I hear ya on that"take a kid fishing"One of my favorites was fishtales and myself taking a 9 yr old from church out on his birthday(which is what his birthday wish was,,to go fishin) and put him on some stripers, only 2nd time he'd ever been a boat
Another great time I had both my girls in the boat with me( I was supprised the oldest wanted to go!!)

I'll second that Ronnie. The fellowship I've shared and making of new friends over the course of this year far outweighs any fish Ive caught and I'm already looking forwards to what the new year brings us all. Thanks for sharing your pics guys. I'm enjoying 'em.
