Thread: New Depthfinder

Well my christmas/birthday present from the wife came in yesterday. The Hummingbird 778 depthfinder. Looks nice, just have to find the time to hook it up next week, and get out on the water. Them crappie better watch out, one day I am going to learn how to catch em.

Heck, All I'm getting is a new anchor and rope. I think she's thinking ahead, maybe something to tie me too. :-)

SS, I did a quick check to see which unit you got. 640 X 640 pixels will show you EVERYTHING that's under you. Looks like a great unit. Congrats.

SD, if your wife goes out fishing with you then I'd say you might have something to worry about.:D J/K

Thanks guys, I am looking forward to using it, I also finally bought some long rods, going to give this spider rigging a try.

Thats a fun unit, there is a new download for it according to the Crappie Kidd. He says the new software, free, will let you do a down scan that makes the fishing so easy, it's already banned in Iran!
