I couldn't stand it and braved the rain to go chase after those linesides. We fished from noon until dark and the rain didn't give us much of a break all day. The fishing was tough and picked up right before dark. Tried freelining, downlining, and planers with Herring. Water temp was 61. Marked alot of fish all day and all but one was caught in a one hour period. Ended up with 6 hybrid, 1 striper, and 1 largemouth. The striper was the biggest at 6lbs. It was tough and maybe we'll be rewarded for our efforts next time out.

The fishing has been tough lately but it good to hear you caught some for your time.

Good report Cleon. Had to be tough going that long without many bites with that rain on your heads but sometimes it pays big dividends when you brave the elements and go for it and find youre out there almost alone. The water temps keeps cooling gradually so maybe...just maybe they'll turn on hard before long. Atleast you already know where they are at when that happens. Good luck on your next trip.
