I was just wondering if anyone had done any fishing this weekend?
I haven't had much luck around here at all but I'm sure all the rain has all the water messed up. We were muddy but starting to clear up a little.
In my humble thinking for what its worth---------------- Let them rest until lake levels get back to clear/normal after all this rain ( simply because they be scattered and spooky ) and then try them in 35' to 45' feet of water out away from creek mouths and such. Then in late Nov. thru Jan. try them in Creek mouths until they start up the creeks as far as they can go through April-May. You will be surprised at how far they will move up the creeks. Good luck to ya.

I think a lot of people were like me this weekend, waiting for other people to tell us how the Lakes are and letting them settle down a bit after last weeks rain.![]()
Conserve Bass,,,,,,, Eat more Crappie
I went to the lake Sunday evening and done some riding and looking. I was surprised the lake wasnt muddier than it was. I rode over the north end checking out some coves and creek mouths off the Savannah. Saw some small tight groups of shad and then seen some HUGH bait balls, but it doesnt appear that the shad are grouping together yet. (Bait still everywhere.) With these warm days the water temps are fairly steady from a month ago...still around 64-65 degrees. Wonder what the water looks like on our end of Clark Hill lake?
Ga Redland said the creeks on Clarks Hill were muddy last week and the lake is as full as it's been in years.
The crappie were not biting Saturday night at all. The water was clear and 64 degrees near Calhoun Falls State Park.
