    Default Minnow rig ??

Whats the best rig to use when minnow fishing in heavy cover? And current? I was at the crappie hole in chapin last week and saw some bullet/worm weights that were the pinch on kind, the guy said they worked well.I guess you would pinch them on with the point upward so if it hit anything on the way up it'd bounce off...Yall ever used/seen those. sam

Not exactly like that, but I use a bullet weight then a swivel then a leader 12 to 18 inches then 1 gold hook. Works good in brush and cane.

I used to use a bullet weight all the time when I used to bass fish and rig it texas style. I've never seen one that pinched on, If you rig it pointed up it should work.

I've never seen the kind that is made to pinch on. But I have threaded it onto my line before and pinched it with a pair of pliers to keep it in place.

    Default Pinch On Lead

I have used the pinch on lead from the Crappie Hole. They are a little pricey but they worked well. Also they are fairly heavy for some my style of fishing. Overall I was pleased with them and plan on using them again this
    Spring.

They are made by water gremlin and i get mine off the internet at a cheaper cost than the crappie hole. When i use them i have found that it is much better to crimp them by hand. This will allow the weight with a little pressure to move down the line in the event of a hangup its amazing how many times you will get your rig back when it hangs on the weight. By crimping them lightly you will also be able to reuse the weights. I have always used them with the point up but try it upside down and let me know how they do. I run the 3\8 and 1\4 and even use them for night fishing. Pulling jigs or minnows they work awsome. The sad thing is walmart use to carry them up to about two months ago. Friends and i would buy them out everytime they came in. They quite carrying them that was it as far as walmart had to offer. I used to go in there for 4-5 things, walmart really sucks now as far as the fishing department goes. Everytime they have something good they will stop carrying it and replace it with something stupid nobody uses. Srry I had vent they ran all our local tackle shops out, so now i have to get everything off the internet.
