Default out of the fog !

Wateree this a.m. fog so bad almost couldnt find the ramp . it was very ugly till bout 9:00 or little later. not much to speak of from my boat. six stripes kept 5. 4 nice cats 5-9 lb, and one suicide white perch. weather nice except for the fog bank early. found that they do sell the large shiners at Dutchman Creek ramp. they proud of em. 8:00 per doz. but when you aint got your net you do what ya gotta do.live and learn. how bout some of the good reports ? saw several boats around June Creek when fog lifted.

Nice catch Ofish. Looks like you guys did alright yourself. One thing for sure, there's no other freshwater fish that wears on a reel more than one of those stripers. Congrats.

put in at beaver creek at 615 and made it the mouth the creek when the fog hit us. couldn't see and didn't want to run the big motor in that, so put the trolling motor down with some live bait. thought i was heading across the lake to the west bank and was going to head north to june creek. well after about an hour and no land in site, started getting worried as the fog stayed thick. fog finally let up enough to get bearings and somehow did a 180 and was south of beaver creek. finally at 8:00 got to june and picked up 2, then nothing, so moved around and found a nice school on the surface and picked up 3 nice ones. finally count 5 stripes to 6pounds, 10 cats, 4perch, and a white bass. going to look into getting a GPS unit so i dont get turned around again!
Fishtales- saw you in the skiff with a couple fish going over the gunwale....sweet ride, are you a guide service or just have a sweet set up?

Wateree fog is why I have GPS on my boat, I was totally lost in the fog till a guy with a stick steer come up on my and gave me a hint where I was. It's way too easy to get turned around in the fog. Great report
