Yesterday I was helping pops haul off some brush in the backyard so we could see a small opening where the local deer feed. I was throwing some rotten logs onto a pre-exsistant pile of wood. I thankfully was wearing heavy duty rubber work gloves. As I finished the wood tossing, I started back towards the house. Then an excrutiating pain filled my left hand. I looked down and saw a yellow jacket pumping me with poison. I smacked it off and ran to pops. I have a mild allergic reaction to flying inscects says the doctor a while back. I run inside and pop two benadryl. My hand swole up like a baloon. These pics were taken today, sunday, over 24 hours afer the sting. My left is still swolen. Look at the difference from the left and right hands. BTW it stung the top of my hand just below the middle finger knuckle. It stung through the galvanized rubber glove, and thankfully did not do any serious damage to me.

Yea, I swell like that too.Itches like all get out too. My sister breaks out with strawberry like hives all over when stung. It's tough to be allergic. Oncew when I was a boy I was stung between the eyes by a giunnie wasp. I was in the hospital for 3 days with my eyes closed for 2 of them. Back then the doc told my parents if I was stung very many times it could kill me. And I'm the only black sheep of the family that loves hunting and fishing. Go figure...
Take care of that sting.
Yes,take care of that sting. They are nasty.I have to carry epi-pens if i get stung.
Have A Crappie Day
I have been having a heck of a time cleaning fish. Those darn things will swarm you over that fresh fish meat.

Darn, Perch Jerker...better be careful...where there is one yellow jacket, there are usually fifty billion more.
I have never been allegeric to bee stings. But I was sitting out on the porch the other evening, had my arm on the back of the glider. There was a wasp nest there I didn't know about. One stung me just below my knuckle on my middle finger. It swelled a little, but that night, it felt like a severe case of arthiritis, couldn't hardly move my finger at all.
I had one crawl up my pants leg a couple of years ago and sting me behind my knee. I jumped out of that pair of pants.Fortunately you are not bad alergic to them, my son-in-law has to use an epipen or go to the ER if he gets stung.
