    Default fall fishing

Hey guys, since I am still fairly new to this crappie fishing, I was curious what temps are we looking for this fall before the fish start coming shallow again. Im ready to start flipping minnows at the docks again. Thanks, looking forward to the get together in october.

The days are already getting shorter, we have lost an hour of daytime. The fish this year never really moved deep so as the water drops back into the low eighty's you should find them closer to the bank and when the water temp gets in the 70's it will be on again. As for night fishing, I hope to start giving them trouble in the middle of September no matter what the water temp is!!!

SS, this has got to be the most messed up year I've had fishing in my life! I'd fish places theyve always been during the winter but this year it just didnt happen. Then...during the spring I could BUY A BITE in clear water. (Clear water on Lake Russels is ALL I've ever fished. Stained waters seemed to be holding ALL the fish this past spring.) Then, even though I'd a never guessed it...I was filling coolers with slab crappie on a regular basis in 80+ degree waters during the hot summer months. With all that has happened with my fishing in the past year I wont even pretend to act like I know anything about fishing....but my guess would be when the water gets back to the mid to lower 70's the crappie should have their feed bags strapped back on. One thing is for sure though....cooler weather will make it ALOT more enjoyable for fishing whether theyre tearing it up, or not!
