Thread: Speaking of crappie fest??

Anyone found out anything on where this thing is gonna be? Oct is right around the corner.

theres a poll at the top of the sc forum, when they close the poll, the date with the most votes will get the nod. till then the dates not been set.

Wooops!! I thaught the date had been set at Oct 24. We were just deciding where to have it. Sorry bout that rango.

Actually, Fishing Addiction, I think we have decided on the 24th as being the best day for our get together. We're probably going to fish the morning, cut up together and eat around mid-day, then head back out for the afternoon/evening bite. And if some want to hang lights that night or the night before, I'm pretty sure they can find some company too.

As far as the location, we're leaning toward Gill's Point ramp, which is on Pistol Creek. It is an excellent ramp with a covered shelter in easy walking distance from the ramp. Finding a nearby campground that is open then is going to be a bit tougher, but we'll continue working on that.

FA, looks like those August heats have set almost everybody back a little and has set fishing back on the back burner for a few weeks. The poll was set so people can still change their minds as the time gets a little closer because of work/family plans. We still want to satisify as many as possible for a get-together and I (for one) knows how plans can/does change for people. Once the poll closes and a date is set in "concrete" we'll still have about 5-6 weeks to finalize the rest of the plans for the crappiefest. I'm sure we will all be talking more about the fishing location as well as the times, eats, etc. in a few more weeks. Youve come up with some great ideas already that everybody seems to like alot. Should more come to mind be sure to re-open the sticky and post away so we all can mull it over some. I think you'll find real quick that this crowd up here on Russell and Clark Hill aint a hard crowd to please.

FA it says on the poll it will be in effect till 9/9. the actual date aint been set yet. when they get everything finalized they will let everyone know.

Thanks Rango and Bowman for the clarification! OK, I'll "uncircle" the 24th from my calendar for now...:D

Whenver we decide should work for me, and I hope that we can find suitable accomodations for those traveling, whether it be a campsite, cabin, or motel room. The main thing is for just as many as possible to get to come and have a great time!
