Default wylie 8/15/08

me, ot and craig teamed up this am for a perch jerk on wylie. puttin in at ebeneezer we followed CK and his crew (wife and 2 boys) up to beaver creek for a morning of jerking perch. the bite was sorta slow, but most the wp we was catching was decent fish. craig (fishfinder8) caught a nice bass about 3 lbs or so which was our biggest fish of the morning. it was nice being out again, even if it was during the dreaded daylight hours. meeting CK and his family and fishing around em was a treat.. watching them two boys catch perch was really enjoyable. them young fellers got the makings of a couple real good grown up fishermen one day. . me, ot and craig dint catch all that many fish but we still had fun picking on each other. ot was sorta slow today. yesterday was his birthday and his buddies took him out last night and all that amber and mixed drinks he said they forced him to drink was still working on him. i could tell he wasnt up to par. sorta on the slow side and quieter than usual. like he might a had a headache . hes tough tho. fished this am, going back out tonight for a nightstalk then again early in the am on another PJ. hes tougher than a hickory knot. he invited me to join him but i passed. anyway, we fished to High Noon and called it a morning. our total tally was 57 wp, 1 bass, a half doz or so of yp's. a cpl of thugs and several brim.

It was a treat finnally seeing the beast. Boat was pretty good too. I had fun today talking to you all. Cheers again to OT. Thanks again for the extra minners when we ran out, Rango. We ended up using them all. Caught some more fish when we pulled out to my other spot. We have to do that again. Fun with two boats next to each other jerkin the perch and drinking Barley Pop. Grandson and friend had a blast again. I spent most of my time reriiging their rods and untangling the lines. Still had fun though. Wife will not touch bait or fish. So I am the Master Baiter.

We ended up with 67 WP
4 small kitties. The kind you find on a plate in a fishcamp.
And a bunch of Bream and yellow perch.

Fish were smaller today. Did catch some bruisers.

Good to hear you have made it back to the lake, from the pics it looks like a good day on the water. With y'all and CK teamed up the fish had a bad day
Good luck with the night stalk.

several years ago, a few of us nightstalkers used to tie up side by side and socialize, toast whatever needed toasting(which was usually everything) and fill the coolers. them was some great nightstalks. unfortuantly times change and folks get scattered, some good memories was made and it was a lot of fun we all looked foward to doing.
