Me and Allen found ourselves back on Clark Hill this morning on another striper hunt.

We picked up our bait from a "new" bait man that catches his own as well as does ALOT of striper fishing and this guy knows his stuff when it comes to keeping blue back herring in bait tanks. The bait was as fresh and as active as just being pulled out of the lake.
I'm guessing (from lack of experience) the bite was what you'd call fast and furious for us this morning. We started out with 3 dozen baits and our fishing was done by 10AM. We were our of bait.

Just playing around this morning I decided to carry along a Zebco 733 on a bass edition rod to pull a BB on a free line or cast to any surfacing stripers. The 11 lber came off this outfit and was alot of fun. I thought the fish was going to take all my line before it's run was over there for a minute.

The reason I have the 733's is because I thought for a spincast reel the drag worked pretty good and I'd use these reels when fishing for eater sized catfish. Now I realize this isnt your typical striper rod/reel and it about met it's match this morning so it wont beome a regular part of my striper arsonel but you'll notice it in a picture.
No real wall hangers hit our hooks this morning but we still got into some good quality fish. Our biggest fish today were a 13#, 11#, 2 - 9#ers, and a 7#. We kept count and wound up boating 24 striper this morning.
Anyway, another great day on the hill this morning and it was just a beautiful monring to be fishing. No wind, waves, and the temps were nice and cool out early today. Just another great day to be on the water!

Below I've attached a few pictures to share our trip with ya'll.
