Default Umbrella rigs?

Anyone ever tried umbrella rigs in Wateree? I know alot of people use them at Murray but have not seen anyone talking about using them at wateree. What is the best thing to troll with at Wateree, and what time of year is best?

It wouldn't hurt to try unbrella rigs. My uncle used them on Lake Cumberland with good results. One of my friends brought a setup from his saltwater box to wateree and tie on a bunch of mix lures on it and lost every single one of them. wasn't me ok. Best to use the same lure multiple times not a Rapala plug on one corner and 3 spinnerbaits on the other. I knew the owner of Cedar Creek tackle used mini umbrellas for crappies and the guys on Clarks Hill are big on them for crappie too.

I use either all spinnerbaits on the rig or all bucktails with trailers on murray, tried the all spinnerbait one for a little while at wateree with no luck but didn't really give it a a good effort.

I have used them on Murray and Clarkshill. Work great on deep impoundments where the weight of the rig doesn't carry it to the bottom. Never used them on Wateree since its so shallow except for staying exactly in the channel which is hard to do there.
