Thread: Adding a HDS Gen 3 to my setup

Sounds like every thing will work, same basic set up I have but I have both gen 2s.

Do you guys see anything wrong with my assumptions or what I am planning on doing?

Just a word of the wise from experience, I would check with Brian and BBG Marine. His prices are usually better.

Problaby the only thing you will really not be able to get function of on your new Gen 3 is CHIRP mode. For that you would need the total scan transducer. All other features you described should function as you said.

Watch your way points. Mine are all screwed up with the Gen 3. Some kind of output format change. Been a month trying to figure this one out. Back up all formats just in case. Russel marine was awesome .LOWRANCE HDS12 GEN3 COMBO INSIGHT NO TRANSDUCER
