Thanks for the response! The lake I fish ranges from a good dark tea to coffee with 3 creams, usually on the coffee end of the spectrum.

I have been all the way up and down both ranges and have currently on Auto-Low brightness and contrast 62% on the blue palette...it's better than it was out of the box, but nothing anything close to what you posted. I'll try changing to high brightness and dropping the contrast a bit and see what it does...

I'm on software version 4.20...so I don't think there should be any rendering differences between the originals and the Plus units, is there?

Think so many of us need to keep this in mind. Conditions change and these things need to change with them. The two lakes I fish are vastly different and the settings on one are not much help on the other. Ambient conditions matter, too. None of them are 'set and forget'. Not if you optimize. I like to get around a cover that I know and adjust things to where I can see all that I want to. I don't ALWAYS look for soft targets, more often for cover and structure.

Gettin jiggy- I'm not familiar with the non plus units.
I like the description of "coffee with three creams". That's currently my home lake! Was out today, didn't even put a jig in the water, used the time to map with quickdraw.
    And played with settings again.
Teedee- for once in my life I'm trying to do what has been recommended! I'm a slow learner!!
I truly appreciate the help and advice from all!
    Drinkin coffee, missin fish.
