Default HumminbirdPC NOT Working With Google Earth Pro

Hello fellas ; GE automatically upgraded to GE Pro on my pc. I cant get hbpc and EG Pro to interface. I tried to find old version of GE to reinstall but I couldn't find it. Am I missing something here or is it an issue for everybody else too???

I ran into this the other day. Are you getting a message that says something like "can't find ______, do you want to show it where to look for the file" or something like that?

If it is telling you that the "file can not be found", then asks you to select the location the ".exe" file is located.... I may can help. I selected "yes" that I wanted to select or find the file.... Then:

---Open up the "C:" drive on your computer and find "Program files" or "Program files(x86)

on my computer I had "program files" and "program files(x86)

---Open one of the "program files" and look for "google". If you are in the right place it may list several thing from google. Look for "Google Earth Pro". If you don't see "Google Earth Pro" try the other "program files" file. Mine was in the (x86) one.

---Click on on "google earth pro" and you should see a folder that says "client".

---Click on the folder that says "client". This should open up a bunch of folders and files. The folders are probably on top of the list and under them are several files.

---You are looking for one of the files that says ".exe" in the name. I think the one I clicked or double clicked on was "googleearth.exe.local" After I selected this file it started working.

    Hope this helps.

Yup Google Earth Pro application should default to:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Google Earth Pro\client

Once you have navigated to the "client" folder look for "googleearth" and should say Application to the right of it. Most folks don't have viewing of file extensions enabled so most won't see the .exe at the end of googleearth name.

Have you tried having Google Earth started up before starting Humminbird PC... and leave it open?

I tried that too and it wouldn't work. I had to go through those steps.

I found .exe files still didn't work... To me it looks like GE doesn't support non Pro.

The steps above does work with some minor differences depending on Windows version ... It's a matter of navigating to the Program files folder and then thru the Google folder until the googleearth.exe is found and selecting it ...

I also successfully tried uninstalling Google Earth Pro and reinstalling Google Earth Pro ... and then Humminbird PC automatically found and opened Google Earth ...
