Default Trying to update software on my Helix 7-HELP!

I followed the instructions on this page, but the unit didn't give me the prompts that the website said it would. It just asked me if I wanted to update to version 1.400 and I clicked yes. At that point, the unit just went into the SI screen and has been there for 10 minutes. I'm scared to do anything because i'm afraid it will mess something up. It never asked me what Steps 5 and 6 said it would. Please help.

Did you let it start up all the way and everything before you put the card in? It can take a little while but the part about the SI screen is concerning. Normally is goes to a black screen with the bird logo like the startup screen and scrolls an updating do not turn off unit message.

yes I did. It said "do you want to upgrade to 1.400," and I clicked yes. Then it went straight to SI screen (which it may have been on when I put micro SD in). I don't know what to do now.

I wonder if you accidentally double tapped the button or held it too long. The second prompt is something like do you want to abort and you have to toggle over to no for the process to start. If you held the button down it would select yes and then since the cursor starts over the yes option in do you want to abort i bet you selected that without realizing. There are two prompts to begin the update.

It should be safe to power off ... Then remove the SD card with the update bin file ...

Power on - let it fully boot and Restore Defaults again ...

Then insert SD card with update bin file ...

Answer yes to 1st question ...
Answer No to 2nd question ...

Wait for unit to update and reboot itself ...

You should then get a popup that says "No Update necessary" ... Remove SD card ...

    Restore Defaults again ...
