The Crappie Cup, Club Vs Club

Shoals Area Crappie Association versus West Alabama Crappie Association
November 3rd, 2007
Cedar Creek Lake,
Britton Bridge boat launch.

This is going to be one fun event. It happens on November 3rd and will be a regular fishing tournmaent with the two clubs combined. We will pay 3 places plus big fish. The payout is this

At the end of the tournament, we will determain the average weight per team in each club. The club with the best weight per team will retain the CRAPPIE CUP until our next club vs club tournament.

1st place 40%
2nd place 30%
3rd place 15%

There will also be an additional $5 pot for big fish for anyone else who would like to join in that.

Basic Rules are as follows:

$30 entry fee per team
7am-3pm, must weigh in by 4pm
10 fish, must be alive
life jackets/kill switches required when on plane

David and Jeff.....good luck to you this weekend on Kentucky Lake!! We've got a club tournament at Gainesville this weekend also. None of our guys have been to Cedar this year but several plan to check it out the two weeks before "The Crappie Cup" tournament....maybe we'll get something figured out so we can make a decent showing......see ya Nov. 3rd.

Man, just around the corner now. 3 weeks to go.

Who will win the first Crappie Cup trophie?

By the way, hardly anyone is fishing Cedar in the club right now. It is very low and good catches on other lakes have kept us off the lake. This should keep the field very even.

As far as I know, no one in our club has done any pre fishing. Only me and a couple other members have ever fished Cedar. We just had our October tournament this past weekend, so I suspect some practicing to start this coming weekend.
We had eleven boats this past Saturday, so I'm thinking about that many will be there for the "Crappie Cup".

it is almost here!!!!!!!

I can't wait and am seriously pumped to meet all you guys and compete.

Brad Whitehead and a few others are trying to get some door prizes to give away at the tournament.

After prefishing this past weekend, door prizes might be all we win. It was
tough with the windy conditions. We caught a few small fish, but nothing
to brag about.
I think its gonna be a fun tournament and I am looking forward to it!

no, but I haven't checked my home address in a while. I am still at work and will check when I get home.

We have 7 2 man teams coming officially. Do you have a number yet?
