Shoals area crappie had it's 2nd tournament of the 2009/2010 season and in it was tough fishing today. We had 12 teams for today's tournament and each team managed to bring fish to the scale. Placing 1st was team AJ Barkley and Tommy Edwards with a total weight of 7.07 2nd place went to Jimmy McCarley with a total weight of 6.99. Big fish of the day was caught by team Adam Brewer and Jimmy Hayes it weighed 1.56. Just about all the teams was pulling crank baits today the surface temp was 86 and we had a pretty good wind which made it not as hot. I would like to thank all the teams that came today we set a club record of the number of teams in a regular tournament today.We are going to have a fun tournament in august on wheeler lake we will weigh- in at spring creek ramp We have not set a date yet but as soon as we decide I will post it. Everyone is invited and no entry fee for this one we may get a side pot up or something just to make it interesting. Good job guys for another fun and safe day on the water.
