Mine puts out 12.4 at idle and 14.4 at full throttle. I replaced my stator with a 16amp just last year. I would say yours is high on volts, which most likely means real high on amps.

Don't know if it helps much, but I just replaced the entire charging system on my motor and at speed it is between 14.4 and 14.6 volts, but it is a 16amp system.
