i have had the same thing happen.....the water fluctuation and up aand down weather.....the males are in shallower than the females they are just have lock jaw right now.....after 3 or 4 days warm...

nope.....Badin.....159064....i did find these in very shallow water though.....along with a bunch of other ones.....these were the largest 6....all over 10"....but not on Badin

Beat the banks the last 2 days and not a single crappie to be had shallow.....now deep water....that was a whole different story......is ANYONE getting a shallow water crappies on any of the bigger...

It was tough fishing...i caught some...with alot of them being dinks.....all in deep water yet....man those females look about ready to explode.

Went out to Badin on Saturday....water was a bit stained and very cool still at around 48-50.....we got to fishing about 11 and fished til 5:30....we caught 41 crappies with 37...

i was dropping to the bottom with a very small split shot.....and about 12' it would get taken....if by chance it got to the bottom a slow retrieve up would get bit!!

Last year on March 12th i started to catch alot of crappies as they were beginning to stage for the spawn, and as they stage they start to feed heavily and by my records the surface water temp where...

I ended up with 52 with the biggest one being 13".......it was a decent day....all of them were 10" or better.

I have a question......do any white perch mingle in with the white bass during this time....as they both spawn in similar waters?

i fished Lacamas lake for MANY MANY years......and the state has absolutely no clue whats is and isnt in that lake beyond the stocked early spring trout......the crappies are still there but in...

it is almost time......just......a.......few......more.........days........fish a pond or 2 while waiting for it to heat up!!!!

this is a sample of what i ended up with.....thanks to a good friend for helping me out.....ended with 19 crappies all over 10".....and 2 bass....not all of them were real deep either.
