I have been having similar results results in 15 FOW. If a bass or pike shows up in the area the Gill fishing stops.

I go with the thin most of the time.

They look like a real good finesse jig for the lite biters.

I use a LED lite and it cures the glue in seconds. It could be a week UV lite; try setting the glued parts out in the sun for a hour or more. If the glue sets you have a week UV lite.

How are you curing the glue?

They should be a great finesse jig.

Tying does not take much time;its prepping and painting heads/lures that is time consuming.

The rubber tail is a fish getter.
I have had very good luck both summer and winter the rubber tails.

If by chance acid core solder is used the acid must be neutralized with soda and water. Not doing so will cause paint failure or corroded metal finishes.

I use a rosin past flux to prep the blades and use either 40/60 or 50/50 solid core solder. I then clean the blades with isopropyl alcohol to prep for painting.
