    Default Clark Spoons

Ok, being rather naive on trolling for spanish, I've read that Gotchas and Clark spoons are dynamite for the job at hand. Curse my bloody arse but they just aren't mountain grown rainbows or brookies, nor flat water specs, so I'm good and lost. As it stands, nobody ever once mentions which Clark Spoon is best or preferred. There are 2 types, the Squid and the Original. The Original has a red bead, the Squid is plain. So just which one is the famous Spanish Mac spoon everyone is killing them on? Whats your preferred rig?

    Thumbs up Both

They are both good ... The best are size 1 and down ... I sold a lot of both in my days on the road along the NW FL Gulf Coast and you could go from store to store within hollering distance of each other and sell one of them Clarks and then the other one Squids neither one sold more than the other as a rule. The one the fisherman has confidence in....

You might try a PET 14 with a silver flashback and a yellow feather. I doubt the macks can tell the difference, and if you have trouble finding one type, then the other might be available.
Personally, I'd rather fight than switch from PETS (Unless I'm fly fishing!), and I've touted them for several decades in lots of printed pages for everything from flounder to tarpon.
Never got as much as a thank you for it, either!
Oh well - but I sure caught a lot of fish on them!
    Bon chance!

What's a PET 14? Where do you buy them?

Tony Acetta Pet Spoons are a little hard to find ... Not much help in telling you where to get them.
