If you fish Big Lake in SWLA. You need to read this forum on Louisiana Sportsman.com The replies start from the bottom and go up.

looks like its just going back to what it was before rita........but yea i agree shadow..La. is becoming like everywhere else..if your not rich or dont own the land....you will be shut out.

swla slab slayer...i'm from jennings too, graduated in 87...but i live in florida now.....i miss fishing on the mermentau! and i miss boudin king lol

The Boudin "King" has passed away....but the Queen is still running it. Yeah the Mermentau is a nice place.

no jamie ..i miss the stripers and those d$%^ big catfish on the james! lol

swla..yea he passed away awhile back.....i remember that place when it was just cormier's grocery store...hell i grew up a couple blocks from it..
