Are there any of you guys running the Humminbird 1197 or the 997 side imaging unit in salt water?

We are using the large Ram Mount system for the 1197 and the 1157. Here are the details on it.

Heavy Duty RAMŽ Mount - Made of powder-coated marine-grade aluminum with a larger plate to support all big-screen, 8-10" sonar/GPS units, Has a 3-1/2" arm with a D size 2-1/4" rubber ball. 11"W plate.

I think that is the same mount I use for my Lowrance 111hd and that monster weighs a ton. Trust me it will hold it for sure. I also have a 997 that is on a smaller Ram mount and have no probs with it either. Ain't cheap, I think I paid about $80.00 for the larger Ram mount.

Don't bother saying it because my wife has already told me it's way too many toys!
