Big Lake 8-13

Well me and my son got to make a trip to big lake yesterday. We didn't tear them up but we managed to catch enough for a meal. We caught a few crabs that my mom was more than happy to take off my hands too!

Congrats on the catch. Better just a few than none at all! Not sure how you guys can stand that HOT HOT heat out there though! I've switched to eating chicken since I can't fish!! :D

I went Sunday, spent all day and caught 3 bream and one sac.
We need to get together and do some fishing.

Dwyane, you are one of the true mysteries of the universe!
I still can't figure out how you can drive 60 miles to an obscure little lake and put the hurt on the sac-a-lait - time and time again (:D), yet you live five minutes from one of the premier inshore saltwater destinations in Louisiana and apparently have frequent trouble catching enough to get a decent stink out of a skillet!
If I'd ever get an invitation over there, I could give you some lessons - kinda like you gave to me on Bundick's.
Until then, I suggest you don't post any more pics of three little redfish. They really tarnish your image.

Pete, you forget my last post on here with saline lake jigs?, we were 1 shy of our limit one day and had our limit the next. Oh well you know how it is, the closer you live to a lake, the less you fish it! It was good to get out there with my son. He is 18 now and starting college so I know these days are getting fewer and fewer. As for the invitation, you just let me know when you want to go. I am getting tired of getting beat up in that little allum. boat running across the lake!

Deacon, let me know when you can get down and we can get together and make a trip.
