Myrtle Beach
I am headed down to Myrtle in 2 weeks and was hoping for a little advice on where I could take my father in-law fishing. I thought about trying an offshore trip depending on the cost. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Dan

Dan, it's been a 6 years since I been to Myrtle Beach ,was down there around memorial weekend and during black bikers week. Let me tell you them bikes will drive you outta that place and the fishing was terrible caught some flounder in the intercoastal and inlets but on the piers we caught only small sand sharks. That place is full of rays and sand sharks. The charters are high there. We left Myrtle beach and stayed up around Southport N.C. and fishing was amazing around the piers and jettys also at the outer banks surf fishing was good as well. North Carolina was 10 times the vacation that Myrtle Beach was. Good luck

Sorry I missed this, the Spanish are thick right now, as well as plenty of blues. Starting to see red and black drum, a few whiting still biting, flounder are almost in full swing but they're not thick yet. Pompano are here and the sand fleas are around during mid-low tide.
This is all from the piers and surf, can't help you with offshore. Gimme a shout if you need more help.
