Dwyane, I know either you or Randy took some pics from the other weekend when yall were in Cameron. So, Where are they at? Seems like a month since there was a post on this board.. I guess the saltwater fishing is slow too.
You can't fish with a hung line!
Yea Johnny, everytime I look on here I am the last one that made a post.![]()
We didn't do much fishing, I think we were too drunk!
lol No really, we spent all day that saturday at the benefit for the little girl "Zoey" We had a blast but didn't fish much. I have some pictures on a Cd but Randy could probably post the pictures quicker than I could. hint hint! lol

No JL, saltwater fishing in south Louisiana is popping! Folks are just too busy catching to mess with writing!
You believe that?
Seriously, we have consistently been catching nice reds and some almost big flounder in the northwest corner of Vermilion Bay - say, from the north shoreline of Redfish Point through Mud Point to Buck Point and roundabouts as well as along the bay's western shoreline north of Redfish Point. So far the biggest fish has been 30 inches - most are around 20 inches. And while we have been catching most on flies, spinnerbaits and popped shrimp-tipped jigs are working too.
But I think I've already said all that twice in the past three months! :D Hey, like ol Bill Dance once said, if you find a pattern, stay on it!
Or something like that...
Oh, I am presently 15 short of my 1000th fly-caught red. Will assuredly let you all know when I get it!

YES!!!
Thanks for remembering!
I was going to have it mounted, but it was a rat, so I had to release it. However, it was one of 18 I caught that day at Rockefeller! (12 Nov.)
All on fly - along with three black drum and three plie! So that made it very memorable.
Anyway, everything went back but the plie (Flounder, just in case your neck is sunburned) - if they ever see my net, that's their butt!).
Glad you all had a good time at D'bone. One day I must go to one of those - they sound like a 24 carat blast!
Pete
Pete, congrats on the 1000th red on a fly. I'd say we can move you up from the rank of amateur to amateur plus 1000. Ha ha my man. That's one hell of a feat and I'm glad you got it done.
Yeah, you need to attend one of those, as you put it, they have all be very enjoyable. I'm looking forward to the next. Why Pete if we have a spring gathering at Larto, there has been some talk, that would be right up your ally. It would be the perfect place to do it on a fly.
