I have to go to Springfield, La. in about 3 weeks to pick up a Gator Trax boat. I wouldn't mind going a couple of days early to fish for crappie, big bream, bass or specks, redfish or flounder. I would appreciate anyone's opinion if anything would be biting then and as to a good guide in the area.

Not familiar with that area, but it sounds like you are coming down when the salt water fishing should be hot! Seems like the hotter it gets, the better they bite. Good luck.
