First Wave of the Salmon Run
The action has been hit and miss so far. We had all to do to get a fish or two over the weekend out on the lake. Mondays rain and the risers from the dam in Shoto being removed provoked a first wave run up river, and alot of full coolers rolled in. I don't expect this to last more than a day, with the water level dropping fast today. I took the drive to the dam and the water was still coming over one dam, but the other already had stopped flowing. We'll be testing the deeper water looking for some last catches of salmon this year. Looks to be about 2-3 weeks left for our season.
