When did they add May 31st to the calendar

?? After a long weekend and wrapping up the month I forgot I still had one left
Took off at 6 and unlike to the trip on Tuesday, we were greeted by a slight breeze from the Southeast which was enough to keep the flies at bay

.
I took off towards the line and set up in 60` as a few Captains that were out at 5 were heading to the deeper waters.
I didn`t have any really steady action for the first hour or so with 4 in the box. The best line out was a Blue Liz Chedded flie down 14` on a `rigger.
The lady of the group mentioned how she was concerned about one of my Dipsey rods falling out of the holder, a few seconds later the rod took a hit. After landing the fish I told her that she should warn me about all the rods falling in

We talked about fishing Lakes in Wisconsin for a few minutes, and saw no action. She then noted my other Dipsey looked like it was going to fall in and Wham! it too enticed a strike

I told her it was best to quit while she was ahead and not go to the well one too many times.
I heard the action was steady to the South so I obliged and trolled down to 42° 27`N where it too was much better for us. We would go thru a few pockets where a couple of rods would go and then a dry spell. A few boats were pulling lines with their catch, but I never really found a good line nor a strong school to work, none the less we came in early with our 4 man limit including an 7# King and a 5# brown.

As I mentioned it wasn`t "Loc-n-Load" for me, and a few boats saw better action. They aren`t as thick as they were earlier in the month, but there are still plenty of Coho around. I ran a variety of spoons down deeper looking for a King, however it too hit the Blue Liz 14` down on a `rigger. The only spoon bite I had was the Brown that hit a Stinger Bloody Nose in 40` of water. The deepest I made it to was 115`.
