Well the fishing seemed to be as good or better as it was on Wednesday. I set up just North of the line to avoid traffic staying within a mile of it for the length of the trip. I set up in 60` and took it out to 120`circling and doing different angles to entice bites. It was a mostly a spoon bite for me on the `riggers and lead with the regular size Silver Streak Green dolphin, Smurf, Black fin tuna, and Black Baboon leading the way along with the Stinger Kevorkian. Dipseys with green, or Lil` boy blue behind smoke or white dodgers back 150` on a #2 wire dipsey took a ton of hits as well. It really didn`t matter what was out, the speed the fish wanted was 1.7mph at the ball, which was between 2.0 kts. and 2.4 kts. on the GPS depending on your direction. We ended up 24 for 40 or so loosing the biggest King at the back of the boat as it wrapped itself in another line

.

For the afternoon I fished in Illinois and set up in 110` at 42* 27` N and pointed it Southeast. We had 6 in the box with a double and triple by the time I made it to 130`.The majority of the fish were again in the top 55`. My #2 wire dipseys were out 100` and 120`, and `riggers down 48`, 52` , 55` having the most action. At one point we had 5 on at once

, the fish were all in the 100`-120` range. Again it was a spoon bite with the same guys that worked in the morning doing it again in the afternoon. The Silver Streak magnum Blue Dolphin did some damage on the deep `rigger down 95`. We ended up 23 for 30 something.

On Saturday morning to avoid the steady flow of traffic leaving the pubic launch  I went North into Wisconsin. I set up 1 1/2 miles over the line to avoid boats. It wasn`t a early bite for us but steady throughout the day. I was in as shallow as 70` and out to 140` staying 1 1/2 to 3 miles North. There was a lot of traffic early and many of the private boats left to avoid the heat.
The #2 dipseys back 180` did well early then died for the rest of the day. The `riggers and lead core had a workout. I was switching various spoons and found that they either wanted the Magnums, or "Stinger" size the regulars wouldn`t get bit. We tried for the last hour to get the last two but ended one short and calling it a day as the heat was starting to become overhwhelming. We ended up 29 for probably close to 40 as we stopped keeping count

. Again the fish seemed to prefer the slower presentation.

For the afternoon I went to the same spot and it seemed the steady bite was done. We took our first one as I was setting lines on a Regular Silver streak "Smurf" down 50` in 115`. From then on it was a slow "Picking away" kinda` afternoon. I later heard the action had slowed during the hours I was out, and picked up again after 7, getting better as the sun was setting. We ended up 6/12 with another mixed bag.
On Sunday morning I received a call just before six stating that they wouldn`t make the six O`clock start and would be there at seven. I then informed them that we had a five O`clock start time, this trip was arranged by their boss and somewhere along the line there was miscommunication. Anyway I set up less than 1/2 North mile across the line in 70` and we were 1 for3 by the time we reached 120` I tried to turn back over the same line but had to avoid other boats and pointed it Northwest. I found a strong current blowing me out and it took twice as long to get back to the starting point. We could then see weather coming down from the Northwest. I received a call warning me of strong winds that should reach us by 10, and that there was quite a bit of "Red" on the radar images on the Weather channel. I put on my radar and saw the bulk of the front was out over the lake and we would catch the edge of it. After watching it closely it seemed to change from a Southeasterly heading to a South bound course. Hearing of possible 60 mph winds I made the decision to rip and run and get back to port. The winds hit the hardest just as I was attempting to dock so I decided to tie up at the end rather than take a chance at hitting the boat moored next to me. They were right on the money with their timeframe as it was 10 AM when the winds hit. We ended up 6/11 on a very short trip with one steelie and 5 kings . After the first 3 hits came on a Michigan Stinger spoon, I switched half of my spread to that size. Circus Freak, Green Parrot, Kevorkian, and Natural Born killer all took hits. The only dodger fly hit was on a aqua behind white 80` back on a # 2 wire dipsey.
Here`s a shot of the front coming thru as seen from the back of my boat as we were "Givin` it all she`s got".

I hailed a couple of smaller boats in front of me as we were still trolling in 100` warning them of what was approaching. One boat went in and another tuffed it out, I guess he figured his boat was faster than mine, well it`s hard to go fast when you have a cross wind. He did manage to make it back just ahead of me, but had he left earlier I bet he would have made it back dry. One was a open Pro-V style boat and the had a windshield.
You really have to have respect for the Lake, she`ll kick up quick if the conditions arise
