Had a beautiful morning out on the lake, it was warm, sunny and no flies

. Actually we probably could have used a little bit of a breeze to break up the light penetration and help the fish bite.
I`ll be a little more descriptive on this post since I only ran one trip, multiple trips tend to run together and make it hard to remember the details, I must be getting old.
Anyway we went 8/15 bringing in 3 coho, 3 Bo`s, a king, and a laker. The elusive brown once again eluded us preventing a grand slam.
I started just North of the line in 60` setting up on some marks. We didn`t have any action until we reached 100`.
The fist 3 hits came on the lead all colors out, one had the "Hot Lobster" the other had a "Blueberry muffin," bringing in 2 bo`s and the third hit just keeping us on our toes. I leveled off and stayed between 100` and 115` heading a few miles North . We then took a King on a `rigger 60` down that hit a Green Dolphin stretched 25` back.
After that the fish continued teasing us, I`m not sure if they were striking in aggression or just slapping at the baits, 4 riggers popped without even a twitch of the rod tip after they were up

.
I`m constantly changing baits, especially if I mark fish coming up to investigate, and then dive towards the bottom. I put a Smurf on a #1 wire dipsey 140` back and it went 1 for 2 bringing in the laker. The only Dodger /fly action I had was Lil` boy blue behind Smoke down 39` about 15` behind the ball, also 1 for 2. The copper was out, various dodger/ flie combos as well as spoons on the end of it, never took a hit.
Spoons worked best for me, all of which were Silver Streak, the mags seemed to work better. None took more than one hit so I won`t bore you with the details

.
There was a 1/2 mph current from North to South so the speed had to be kicked up to 2.7 on the GPS to entice any kind of strikes heading down back towards the line.
It didn`t sound like anyone else had the "Program" down, and others had better luck with flies. Get out, don`t be afraid to change baits. The fish are there and well fed, except for the Bo`s they all had full bellies.
I received a call from a Captain fishing up in Kewaunee and they were facing the same conditions, the fish are loaded with bait.
